Turning Machines
Turning machines, or lathes, are just one of the many machining capabilities that allow us to create the highest quality parts for every project.
We offer a wide variety of turning centers ranging from 1-inch to 15-feet in diameter, 10-feet under-the-rail (CNC). Petersen Inc. machines parts for many highly-specialized industries with exact part specifications, and can meet the needs of these companies with the use of turning centers, lathes and other machines at all facilities.
Milling Machines
With a wide variety of milling machines to meet the needs of many different industries, we are capable of machining virtually any specific part using many different materials with precision and quality, right in our own facility. All products manufactured by our expert machinists are certain to be a high-quality product.

Large Precision Machining
We’ve taken large precision machining to a higher level. A winning combination of technology, lean manufacturing techniques and teamwork allows Petersen Inc. to successfully service a number of industries.
Petersen Inc. engineers and technicians turn a concept into a reality, using programs such as Master Cam as their programming module. Our staff of highly trained machinists is kept up-to-date with continual in-house training classes and an active state-recognized machinist apprenticeship program.
Machining operations consist of both large and small machines, and ours are capable of:
- Turning: Up to 15-feet diameter, 10-feet under the rails
- Milling: Up to 12 x 62-feet horizontal
